The PrecisionOS Ecosystem Update

At PrecisionOS, we are transforming surgical preparation from a "one-off practice" into a continuous, intentional "practice-to-OR" loop. This release introduces a seamless connection between your headset and mobile device, expanded clinical capabilities, and a personalized performance engine to help you improve with every cut

1. A New Clinical Frontier: Enhanced Anatomy & Tools

We’ve pushed the boundaries of our digital cadaver to provide more realistic surgical scenarios.

  • Polytrauma & Complex Fractures: You can now manage cases with multiple fractured bones simultaneously. This is critical for mastering complex patterns like bimalleolar and trimalleolar ankle injuries.

  • New Positioning: Support for supine elbow and knee positions has been added to expand your procedural repertoire.

  • Podiatric Surgery: We are officially stepping into podiatry with the addition of CONMED foot & ankle plates.

  • Interactive Bone Saw: Perform precise osteotomies with our new fully interactive saw. You can now make multiple cuts and freely realign bone segments for advanced deformity correction.

2. The "Home Base" Experience: Mobile + Headset

We’ve bridged the gap between your mobile device and your VR headset to create a "just-in-time" training workflow.

The Mobile "Home Base"

Your mobile app is now your personalized command center. Upon login, you’ll find a revamped navigation structure:

  • News & "Where You Left Off": Quickly jump back into your training.

  • Personalized Onboarding: Set your role, institution, and PGY/rotation level to receive a tailored learning cadence.

  • Performance Insight Reports: After every session, a detailed report is automatically pushed to your phone. View your trends, share reports with mentors via standard mobile sharing, or "soft-delete" a trial run to keep your performance data clean.

The New PrecisionOS Launcher

The headset experience has been redesigned for clarity and speed:

  • Streamlined Navigation: A consistent space to choose apps, preview short tutorial videos before launching a case, and manage your library.

  • First-Time Tutorial: A guided sequence to help new learners navigate the environment with ease.

  • Notification Panel: A new in-headset panel that mirrors your mobile alerts, reminding you of "homework" or notifying you the moment a new Performance Insight Report is ready for review.

3. Closing the Practice Loop

Our goal is to move learners through four key stages to ensure mastery: Watch, Practice, Perform, and Improve.

  • Watch: View procedural and preview videos in the PrecisionOS Launcher or on the mobile app.

  • Practice: Complete the case in-headset using our new interactive tools and polytrauma support.

  • Perform: Receive immediate notifications in the Launcher and on your phone once your insights are generated.

  • Improve: Review your Performance Insight Reports on mobile to identify specific areas for growth before your next session.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will "soft-deleting" a report erase my data? A: No. Soft-deleting a report removes it from your visible trends and averages on your mobile dashboard so a "bad" attempt doesn't drag down your insights. However, the raw data is preserved in our backend for institutional records.

Q: How do I access the new videos? A: You can preview videos directly in the PrecisionOS Launcher before starting a module, or browse the dedicated Videos section on the mobile app for on-the-go learning.

Q: Can I share my performance reports with my attending? A: Yes! Using the mobile app, you can use the standard mobile "Share" function to send your Performance Insight Reports via email, text, or other messaging platforms.
