Updating the PrecisionOS Launcher

This guide explains how to update the PrecisionOS Launcher on your Meta Quest headset to ensure you have access to the latest features and improvements. Keeping the PrecisionOS Launcher up to date is important for optimal performance, access to new content, and compatibility with other PrecisionOS applications.

 

UpdateLauncher

If your headset was NOT provisioned by PrecisionOS

If your app access is tied to your Meta account:

  1. Put on your headset
  2. Press the Meta button on your right controller
  3. Open Apps
  4. Select the drop-down filter and choose “Updates”
  5. Find PrecisionOS Launcher
  6. Select it to begin updating

If provisioned with ArborXR

  1. Put on your headset
  2. Ensure you are connected to Wi-Fi
  3. The PrecisionOS Launcher update will automatically begin if one is available
  4. Wait for the update to complete

Once finished, open the PrecisionOS Launcher as usual.

If provisioned with Meta Horizon managed services

  1. Put on your headset
  2. Connect to Wi-Fi
  3. Updates to the PrecisionOS Launcher will automatically deploy
  4. Allow time for the update to install

You can open the Launcher once the update is complete.
