How do I factory reset my Meta Quest 2 headset?

You might need to factory reset your headset if you are experiencing problems with the headset.

  • A factory reset can be performed if you’re experiencing problems with the headset – for example, major software crashes.
  • You might need to perform a factory reset if your headset isn't connecting to Wi-Fi during the initial setup.
  • You might also factory reset your headset if you decide to lend or give it to someone, and you want to get rid of all your content and account information before handing it over.

NB - It is important to note that a factory reset will wipe all the data on your headset and restore your Quest 2 to the software state it was in when it first came out of the box.
